I’m Arnau Bartrés, founder of BlackfishID. I’m 24 years old and originally from a small town near Barcelona, although I currently divide my time between Barcelona and Madrid.
I started working in cybersecurity at the age of 16, in a company based in Barcelona. During that time, I gained firsthand experience with advanced detection and analysis methodologies.
At 19, I moved to Palma de Mallorca to help build a Security Operations Center (SOC) from scratch alongside the CISO and another colleague. Just a year later, at 20, I was leading that SOC as coordinator, managing a team of 12 analysts in critical operations for major shipping companies.
At 22, I founded BlackfishID to solve a clear problem: cybersecurity solutions are built for large enterprises, while SMEs — the most targeted — are left unprotected. BlackfishID was created to change that.
In addition to leading BlackfishID, I also worked as a consultant on cybersecurity projects with top-tier companies, and I’m an academic collaborator in the Master’s in Machine Learning & Cybersecurity at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).
